I say great get for Elder. SC is the real deal. They are a serious powerhouse in the making. As long as another in Cty school doesn't mess things up. Elder is also on the rise again. Slowly but surely. Should be some great battles!

Living in the area this has got me excited. Get to see one of the big, bad Cincy teams I have heard so much about.

 

If you get a chance go see a game at Elder, great atmosphere.

The PIT...Hard to play in a better spot than at Elder. They know how to do tailgating over there.

Why are you shocked and the analogy to Brossart is goofy. I was told they are playing Highlands as well that year. Also was told that no one else in NKY will schedule them, why not call them out as well.

SK just came off a two year deal with Scott County. I would have liked to see that contract continue as I thought it was a good measuring stick game heading into the playoffs.

I am shocked because as recently as a few weeks ago Scott County was looking for teams willing to forgo a home game and play at Scott County 2 years in a row. You want to guess at the quality of teams that are willing to do this? Agreeing to play a home and home versus Elder is about a 180 degrees from what Scott County has done in recent years and their seeking teams willing to forgo a home game for cash.

 

My suggestion that I would think Scott County would be more likely to schedule Brossart than Elder, would only sound goofy if you have no clue what Scott County's non-district schedule has looked like in recent years. Webster County, Harrison County (whose former coach took the 2 year deal to play at Scott County), and Seneca have more in common with Brossart than they do with Elder.

 

Highlands and Scott County would be a nice home and home series.

Webster Co was a last minute addition I do believe to their schedule since they were replaced by Highlands the next year, I think that I remember that Highlands was in a 1 game contract or someone was getting out of a contract with them..... Scott Co. has paid teams to come to them for the last several years so they have 6-7 home games a year. It is getting harder & harder to get teams to come to you, even when you pay $$$, if they know they are just gonna get beat, but the program looks @ it as getting probably as much as they would have received by hosting a home game & not having to do any of the prep work to host.

Scott County can be motivated to schedule games for any number of reasons (home games, or games where they don't have to travel or don't have to travel far, to make money, etc.); however, there is very little evidence historically that putting togther a tough schedule has been Scott County's motivation. That is why Elder being on the scheule is such a surprise.

There you got Scott County stop offering 10k to small teams to come to your place, and go get with the big schools!!! Good move here.

All scott co fans need to make the trip to "The Pit" at Elder. It is a great place to watch a game. My favorite I have ever been to. Fyi the area right around Elder isn't so nice lock your doors once you are within 5 minutes of the school.

Like I said several seasons. If it goes beyond 5-6 season then sure. I myself can't think that far... but I know that within the last couple of season FT Highlands has lost to Cincy Elder a couple of time and St. X has lost to Cincy Moeller and Moeller has beaten Trinity along the way.... Hey good luck to Scott Co, this is their thread, not jacking it. Just wondering when the last successful KY team to beat a Cincy GCL.

Cincinnati is a great place for KY teams to play. The schools are great hosts, parking usually good, food good, atmo fabulous, home fans friendly & fun to talk to -- and they support their boys.
