In hindsight, it was the right call. But, I'm curious, if somehow they would've gotten the game in tonight, does that mean there would've been no one out walking the aisles tonight?

You are correct, as Clyde mentioned. I believe for the double header today, vendors will only be working the Business Day special and you will not see any during the evening game.

I would start Cueto in tonight's game, not the day game. Two reasons, first, if you start Simon in game one, and win, you are going to sweep the double-dip. Should Cueto get hit around in game one, and the Reds lose the first game with Cueto pitching, they would be in danger of getting swept. If Simon starts the first game, and gets beat, you still have your hammer in game two to get the split. Just a thought.

You have no days off in the next 6 days, so you can't throw two of your normal SP today. That is why Jeff Francis was overnighted into Cincy to start game #2.

That's fine start Francis in game one then, same reason as above. :watching:

"Overnighted"???? Lawnboy13 delivered him in a FedEx box?

Double parked in the handicap spot right in front of GASP too.

Francis probably didn't get a normal night's rest due to the travel, so I'm fine with pitching Cueto first and letting Francis sleep in a little and be ready for tonight. At the end of the day, you have to play them both, and you hope Cueto can go deep in the first game to save the bully for the night game, so in my opinion they are pitching them in the right order.

not to mention Francis wearing a sign saying, " free to a good home " looks like a split coming today for the Reds.

I'd roll the dice and try to get the sweep, and start Cueto in the night game. Whatever. :whistling:

It's simply not worth the risk of contracting carpal tunnel.

^How is that trying to get the sweep?

You realize that there's no chance LM knows what happened in the first game, right?

Nicely done.
