? They make about $10 billon a year, not sure how they would qualify has non profit.
If it does have non-profit status I'd think it was because the NFL is kinda like a pass through account, TV pays the NFL who then passes money along to it's members. Some money is set aside for contingency sake but any real profit goes back to the "Owners of the NFL" the teams.
