1. Cooksey - better get it this year as Eagles will be young for the next two years.

2. Mays - a regional championship in the next three years

3. Fraley - look out 16th region if this team stays together

It all depends on the criteria that you use. Is it the coach with the best talent? or the coach with the best record? the coach that has the most wins? or the coach who accomplised the most with the talent they have.

 

My vote goes to Coach Fraley because I think that he accomplished the most with the talent that he had.

I don't think anyone can say until the regionals are over. That is the true test of a good coach.The criteria varies from person to person but the factor that holds the most weight with me is coaching under pressure. Who can make the tough decision in the clutch, when it counts the most. Who can inspire their players to become the best they can for that moment in time. Any coach can win with talent. The great ones can inspire an average player and make him great, even for just one moment. That, to me, is a great coach.

I'm also feeling it for some reason. You know, just barely past the Chuck Taylor age we were.

Phil Pratt and the Boyd Co. staff have had a major turnaround this season! And everyone is probably saying yeah OWENS!! However, IMO he has done a nice job teaching roles and been a good role model and character for Owens, I clarify this by saying that this is Owens first year of organized basketball and Antonio probably didn't know what to expect! Coach Pratt has kept this team together and won ball games! They have a tough draw in Fairview but I believe that Coach Pratt is at the heart of the Boyd Co. turnaround and he deserves some credit!

It's Fraley , hands down. He's done a lot with such a young team. He's an intense coach who gets the kids to put it all on the line. Coaches are suppose to build their players confidence. If a coach doesn't have confidence in a player, how is the player going to have confidence in himself. Can't wait to coach Fraley take his team to bigger things in the future.

I voted days ago but decided to post my thoughts about Coach Fraley. An absolute great motivator and very intelligent coach. Someone who has patience with his players and cares for them genuinely. He is blessed to have such a driven and "eager to learn" team that makes it more pleasurable to coach. I anticipate a great basketball season for RH guys and gals. I appreciate the kindness from the RH family and the academic involvement with my sons which I and the RH school feel is of much more importance. Without question, Coach Fraley and staff (Euton, Bush, Barber)!

I would say Coach Mays It seems he always is on the other side of the track I think not He does not yell at the boys in a bad way from the bench , does not pull or push them, and HE has that stare ! His staff is great too ECHS

I like Coach Mays as well. I think he deserves it.20+ win, District champs, and Regional runner-up starting 3 freshman, having a sohpmore and junior as 6th and 7th men.
