Great Point! Voice. I think Kuntz was the best QB in NKY last season, not Baker, but look at where they ended up in college, again great point, spot on.

You must have missed the blocking then.

??? I didn't trash the kid, I said I was hoping him the best and a huge breakout year this year. His size is what I commented on and said that was probably what got him the looks and offer etc. That DOES have to do with his blocking.

What was said and I think we all agree, he isn't being recruited for his pass catching abilities, it's his size and strength that will be having him possibly playing on the O-Line at the next level or if he does stay at TE it will be as a blocking TE. Nothing wrong with that at all.

No, the recruiters know what it takes to play D1. I am saying that sometimes a non D1 kid is a better player in high school than a player who gets a D1 scholarship. So in Hedger's case, just because he has a D1 offer that doesn't make him the best TE in N. Ky. this season.

This This and This!

Seen a lot of better HS players going off to play DIII or NAIA while players not as good getting DI offers mainly due to size etc.

Your right. Rec. Stats are all that matter for a tight end.

I'm just breaking it down for everyone since that was the 2nd time you threw stats out there for him, although the 1st time you took them down minutes after posting. I'm not trying to knock the kid in any way. He should be proud of the accomplishment as very few get a chance to play at the next level, let alone D1. It's all the "best" and "best ever" comments that get to me as they're unfair to the kids. He already has the pressure to perform his senior year with a D1 scholarship in his pocket. That cannot be easy for any kid as they're going to be looked at a lot closer than other kids. Express your excitement, provide your congratulations, and then just sit back and enjoy his senior year.

Is he talking with any particular schools yet?

Making the rounds with several schools at this time. Not sure that anyone has made an official offer as yet. My understanding that colleges are projecting him as a DB.

THANKS for breaking it down for me.

WKU is all over him.

Trolling, but no bites? I hate when that happens.

Kind of disappointing, actually. Interest in the Fort must be down now that Dale has left.

Sometimes a d1 offer can as much a consequence of effective marking and willingness to go anywhere as ability. My kid gets a lot of literature from Stanford, but when you factor in the costs of getting back and forth to California on a regular basis, you are better of financially going to a community college, then transferring.

What the ?

You don't pass up a chance to get a scholarship to Stanford due to transportation costs.

Did I misunderstand your point?

Literature is a lot different then a full ride div 1 schor. enough with the trans. thing, PLEASE!!!

So- not to interupt the "rah rah look at my teams players!" session and trying to stay on track with the OP's original intent- here is my take (note- I can't promise just three players at each spot and I'm basing it on past performance- not as much on hype)

Offense:

QB

Drew Moore- Dixie

Kyle Feiger- Beechwood

Adam Wagner- CCH

Matt Wilson- Campbell Co

Ath

Aaron Floyd- Boone Co

Collin England- Ryle

Ben Dressman- CCH (if he doesn't play QB)

Beau Hoge- Highlands (though I know he will be QB)

RB

Dillon Powell- SK

Jacob Smith- NCC

Ethan Stringer- Beechwood

Ben Darlington- CCH

Torry Cordell- Cooper

WR

Jensen Feggins- Highlands

Logan Winkler- SK

Alex Venneman- Highlands

Logan McDowell- CCH

Ryan McGinness- CCH

OL (one area I confess to not knowing enough kids)

Brandon Johnson- Dixie

Sam Murre- CCH

Logan Ross- Ryle

Kicker/ Punter

Jared Dougherty- Highlands

Luke Foertch- CCH

Defense:

LB

Ryan Romey- Conner

Barry Deaton- SK

Ryan Woolf- Ryle

Cameron Pitzer- CCH

Chris Hicks- SK

Ben Owens- Dixie

Jacob Warwick- Conner

Kobe Tallon- NCC

DB (another area I confess to have little knowledge)

Griffin Urlage- Highlands

Brandon Gray- NCC

Ethan Harrison- Dixie

Alex Wagner- CCH

Ben Zumdik- CCH

Joe Studer- Beechwood

DL (sure I'm missing several here as well)

Breandan Johnson- Newport

Braydon Combs- Beechwood

Colson Machlitt- Dixie

Chandler Brooks- CCH

Jacob Stiens- CCH

Brody Thoreson- CCH

I know I'm probably missing a few kids from Newport, Lloyd or Walton Verona- but that's my shot

"So- not to interupt the "rah rah look at my teams players!" session and trying to stay on track with the OP's original intent- here is my take"

And then you proceed to list at least one CCH player in each position???
