TOP 3 Players at each position in NKY this coming season

Sometimes a d1 offer can as much a consequence of effective marking and willingness to go anywhere as ability. My kid gets a lot of literature from Stanford, but when you factor in the costs of getting back and forth to California on a regular basis, you are better of financially going to a community college, then transferring.

Why would you not take a free education with meals housing paid for? I would not want my kid to go across the country. But If his dream is to play D1 football have at it.

Alot of great NKY football players this year.

Alot of great NKY football players this year.

I pull for N.K.Y. kids. Love to see a bunch go on to play at the next level.

I can speak for Dixie players JMO.

QB. 1. Moore top 2

D/L 2. Johnson top 2/3

LB 3. Owens top 2/3

TE 4. Hedger D-1

D/E 5. Machlitt top 2/3

Let me just say Johnson is a beast. He gets double teamed on every snap. The best football player on the team.

I really hope Moore finally has a break out season. I love his size and his arm strength, I just think he really struggled passing last year. I hope he comes through this year. I think Hoge and Fieger for BW may be the best in NKY but I won't count Moore out.

As far as

Hedger, that is awesome he got D1 offer, he needs to jump on it if you ask me, is it a full ride offer? If so he needs to take it.

I heard a lot of talk about Hedger after his soph year so I followed him a lot last year, I will just say, if he got D1 offer he got it through camps and his size. Congrats to him and I would jump all over the offer now if I were him. He has great size for a TE and think he could have a break out year along with Moore. I'm pulling for them.

Looks and visits are not offers. Hedger has been for visits also to F.B.S. schools

Visits are light years from an offer.

That is great!

I think UK#1fan has met his match.

I predict by the end of the season these two will have 6 players from both SK and Dixie as D1 players :)

Full ride. Size and blocking at the 2nd level is what Austin p. Likes. Stretch blocking big tall athletic. Can go up and get the ball. Also love the fact he plays basketball.

Since you keep going on about your prized TE here you go!

Vercheak 6'5 250 pounds 11 catches 205 yards 3 tds

Hedger 6'5 220 pounds 10 catches 180 yards 1 td

Lol! You are kidding right?

Hedger had 15 rec. Last year. Two season 47 rec. Over 500 yards 4t.d.s 2nd leading rec. On a team that ran 1st and 2nd.

One more time D1 offer speaks for it's self

You're going to end up doing more harm than good to this kid. You're hyping him up to be the greatest tight end ever. And a FYI, the stats don't support your argument as that averages out to about 2 catches for roughly 21 yards per game over his career.

Your right. Rec. Stats are all that matter for a tight end.

Agree to a point. Number in high school sports are a hard think to look at. I think size speed are the first things looked at. Number are just icing on the cake. So you are saying kids are getting passed up??

No, the recruiters know what it takes to play D1. I am saying that sometimes a non D1 kid is a better player in high school than a player who gets a D1 scholarship. So in Hedger's case, just because he has a D1 offer that doesn't make him the best TE in N. Ky. this season.

SK

RB #1 Powell I have heard he is working hard in the weight room.

WR #1 Winkler

TE #1 Vercheak from what I have seen her has played better than Dixie te

LG Sandlin

RT Olmstead

NT Marksberry

LB Deaton and Hicks

I bet Vercheak will play on the line but it won't be at TE.

I still like my odds with the D1 coaches picking the top players. T.E. is hard to judge, some teams pass alot some run alot.

You must have missed the blocking then.

I agree with NEERFAN on ALL these players possibly being in the top 3 in NKY this season, except Hicks, he's a nice player but he not top 3 players in NKY, he misses to many tackles, JMO. I do agree with Vercheak playing the line this year as well, not at TE. Best of luck to ALL the players in NKY this season.
