the crossover
The bigger question is Shelton & Grundy are playing 17U again this year? Both of these guys should be freshman in college in the Fall. Does your game get better by stepping down a level? Unsigned seniors can play to increase exposure opportunities
Wireman
I saw a stat that said Jax Levitch (Trinity) of The Ville hit 7 three's in Trinity's Sweet 16 game against Scott Co. Pretty impressive! I look for him to have a big summer. I like Jax a lot last summer. I'm looking forward to seeing him this summer.

Clyde
Sounds like Cole Von Handorf will play up with the 16 KY Heat. Also heard Zack Pangallo will play with Mike Price and the Shining Stars.
ennam_iv
Also heard Zack Pangallo will play with Mike Price and the Shining Stars. Must be with the other team then. I heard there was an A-team and a B-team. They did the same thing last year. I think Nick Watts (Conner) is on that team as well. If I see Zack's dad tonight I'll ask him. Coach, do you have any 17U players trying out the Jr KY all-Stars, if so how does that affect the tournament you are playing that weekend (April 11-13 Bearcat Classic - Cincy)? HoopDreamsCoachQ
Coach, do you have any 17U players trying out the Jr KY all-Stars, if so how does that affect the tournament you are playing that weekend (April 11-13 Bearcat Classic - Cincy)? We are now up to 14 kids total between our 2 17u teams. Which is obviously a great problem to have. I've talked to the organizer of the Bearcat Classic and worked it out so that we can play a game or two on Friday, take our kids to All Star Tryouts 9-4 Saturday, and finish pool play Saturday night before the tournament on Sunday. They'll have tired legs but they'll survive.

I know they are scheduling around spring break but I think it is bad timing. But all should work out.

I know they are scheduling around spring break but I think it is bad timing. But all should work out. Once School ball ends, every weekend has something AAU related. Having it during the weekend it is probably is the best possible weekend because there aren't any meaningful AAU events in the area until late April. IMO, the Bearcat classic is a good local tourney for teams to get experience, but its definitely not a tourney to change the date for.
Coach_Sportsfan65
What's the rule on unsigned seniors playing in the 17 & U division. Are there still exemptions?

HoopDreamsCoachQ
Unsigned seniors can play in the spring period only and they are not allowed to play AAU state. Otherwise, they can play.
ennam_iv
Also heard Zack Pangallo will play with Mike Price and the Shining Stars. Just learned that Zach will join Bo Schuh from CCH and Liam Rabe from Dixie on the Shining Star "A team." They also include the leading scorer from Elder, two bigs from Lakota, two players from Moeller and a player from Dayton... should be a very good team coached by Price.
