AAU 2014

Also, look forward to watching The Ville as they have some serious talent and I remember a strong run at nationals last year. In the few games I watched last year, Hall and Levitch were quite tough.

Hoop Dreams 16s & 17s will be pretty good from what I hear. Should be fun to watch. There 16s may have lost Gooden (according to twitter) and Carson Williams, but they'll reload and they still have Dow who is good.

The Magic is who I am very interested to see the roster and to see play. Have heard quite a bit of good things coming from there in regards to possible adds, and their 16s were good last year.

Anyone heard anything about a roster from Charlotte Court? They always field a solid team and have nice coaching and good kids.

Team Manimal 16U starts practice Monday evening. I look for coach stallworth to have them make another run at state title. Finished runner-up last season. I really enjoyed watching this kids play.

A real well coached team.

EYBL Travelers 17U:

Braxton Beverly- Perry Co Central

James Bolden- Holmes

Cam Justice- Knott Co Central

Jalen Perry- Ballard

Christian Thieneman- Trinity

Carson Williams- Owen Co

Drew McDonald- Newcath

Ray Spalding- Trinity

Raekwon Long- Scott Co

Derrick Daniels will be with King James instead. I know those are the instate kids playing for the Travelers 17U....not sure about the out of state kids yet.

You need to add Matt Rose from Lexington Christian to your list. He will be with the Travelers again this summer.

WKY Elite 15U is a very very good team, Rico Rosado and his group have compiled a roster of some quality players. I expect them to give the big name AAU programs a run for there money (Hoop Dreams, Louisville Magic, Next Level, etc.)

Magic 17u had first workout today. Going to be very solid

Hagen Tyler: Boyle Co

Brandon Berry: Ballard

Trey Grundy: Hargrave ( out til July recovering from torn ACL)

Aric Holman: Owensboro

Cameron Reed: Eastern

Jeremiah Bell: Butler

Jared Griffin: Lex Cath

Hunter Shelton: prep school

Justin(?) Smith: PG from Ohio

Rayshawn Robinson: Ballard

Players I know of at this point. I was told today that 2 more players may be playing for magic and if they do this team will be very hard to beat. Not going to name players until I get confirmation. As you know in AAU rosters are subject to change from day to day but those are your core players. I will post schedule in the next day or two . Look forward to watching this team play this summer.

So, this team will potentially have 11 or 12 guys? Seems like a lot for an aau team. Nonetheless a VERY good looking collection of talent, especially with Grundy coming back after having played 17U all of last summer.

Who is coaching Manimal?

Maze Stallworth. He coached them last year too.

In AAU rosters change day to day so you never know. Grundy will be out until at least July and Griffin has a broken wrist . Not sure how long he will be sidelined. They had 8 players at the workout today

Looking forward to hearing more about this WKY Elite 15U group.

The bigger question is Shelton & Grundy are playing 17U again this year? Both of these guys should be freshman in college in the Fall. Does your game get better by stepping down a level?

FYI they both went to prep school which a bunch of players are doing to improve their academics and to better transition into college. Yes Shelton is playing wth Magic this year. Magic 16u and 17u are going to be very good again this year.

Any info you can share about the 16u?
