March 7, 201412 yr She dug her own grave IMO. If you can't afford it, you shouldn't try to do it. If she can get into Duke, I'm sure there were other options for her to that would still offer a good education but definitely save her money as well.

I agree with your point. There's something seriously wrong when we have people who live 18 years and are smart enough to get into a school like Duke, yet they aren't intelligent enough to say to themselves, "Hey....how am I going to pay off all of these loans that I'm racking up?"
