March 6, 201412 yr Just to let everyone know. We maybe in for one of the hottest if not the hottest summers on record. It seems like an El Nino is forming and this may cause a very hot summer. Also since an El Nino usually last 2 years 2015 maybe take the record. It may also be a dry one for both years. This also could mean a warmer than usual winter next year. March 6, 201412 yr I expect a short spring and early hot summer. My fear is combined with the heat we can see a drought which will cause water issues. I hope this isn't the case.

It seems like every time I turn around I heard the phrase "the coldest", or "the hottest", or "the wettest", or "the driest", etc. It seems like there's been a lot more fluctuation compared to what I think of as "normal" seasons.

March 6, 201412 yr Jeez, it's sunny and getting close to 50 and you people are all bringing me down! That's not the intent, but if we had a crystal ball and knew what to plan for, it would help mitigate any bad circumstances. I am one of the cyclical climate believers, and I thought we would have a long cold, wet winter, and we did, and in my memory those are followed by short springs and early hot summers. So....get your lawn, if you have one, hardy early, because it will take a beating by mid July. If you are a farmer or have a garden, take this into consideration with your crop choices. Conserve water early, get rain gutter buckets, keep water in your dam.

I think you are correct. If the El Nino continues to form the summer of 2015 could be even hotter. Also there maybe not much of a winter here next winter.

I will post a more detailed weather outlook this weekend. As of now it looks like the daily high's will be in the 50s to lower to mid 60s. The lows look to be in the mid 40s. With around a 30-40% chance of rain.
