March 7, 201412 yr nWo...are we getting to the point where the extremes are becoming "normal"? It seems like every time I turn around I heard the phrase "the coldest", or "the hottest", or "the wettest", or "the driest", etc. It seems like there's been a lot more fluctuation compared to what I think of as "normal" seasons. I was taught that this is what "global warming" truly is. The averages / means will stay the same, but the extreme become more polarizing. I agree with you, and think that it is happening.

It started with the ice storm we had here in Richmond a few years back. I said I would never let my family get caught unprepared again. Ever since I was a little boy I always wondered how things work. Then some people suggested that I take the weather spotters class with the NWS. I did and it has just grown leaps and bounds. I've taken on line classes about the weather and how to read radars. By no means am I an expert or anything like that. I've just grown to love watching the weather. I've been watching next week's weather since early in this week. I will try and post some info later today.
