LOOGY Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 Underwhelming but at this point I'll take it. Shooting is absolutely abysmal
DragonFire Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 UK didn't start well from inside the arc (1/7), but finished strong, hitting 10/14 afterwards from inside the arc. But from three..... I mean holy crap. 5/28 from three. FIVE FOR TWENTY-EIGHT.

Bluto Posted March 5, 2014 Author Posted March 5, 2014 As I mentioned before, these guys aren't even ready for the NCAA, much less the NBA.
Voice of Reason Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 I think they've finally turned the corner. :lol2: Well, at least the corner into the NCAA tournament.
HammerTime Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 James Young has really lost it. He did 1 thing decent now he can't even do that.
The Professor Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 They're probably going to be about a 6 seed, and that means a tough first round matchup. In most years there's always upsets with the 5 vs 12 and 6 vs 11. They've struggled the last 2 games with teams that's only won around 10 or 11 games this year. One of the unknowns may nail them in the 1st round of the Big Show. No efficient guard play in the NCAA tourney = Early Exit.
LOOGY Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 I think Dakari is going to become a fan favorite. He's the only one out there actually enjoying the game. Really refreshing for this team.
oldrambler Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 Did U.K. play well....No. The Cats once again played the stand buy Matador defense, letting people drive the lane for an open layup. Transition D was horrible again. Offensively not much if any better imo. 2nd have I thought that they did move the ball around better, getting an open three but is jmo that has to become a lot better. Cal no doubt knows what he wants, needs far better than I. Personally I would like to see more of the inside-out game, spotting shooters up for an open three instead of players having to try and just throw it up on their own, rushed and off balanced. Rub some guys off / screen the zone out front to get an open look. That imo would open up the inside for WCS, Julius far more. Having said all of the above this team desperately needed a win and they got the win. I refuse to quit on this team and will stay behind them be it a deep run or a first round knockout. A win is better than a loss any way you can get it And At This Point in the Season (1 reg. season game + the SEC Tourney) before the NCAA tourney it's Survive and Advance. Going into Alligator Alley on Saturday.......GO CATS !!
Plato Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 It was nice of Bama to give up and not foul us with over a minute left down 7.
LOOGY Posted March 5, 2014 Posted March 5, 2014 If Cats can manage to hit a few more threes the lanes will open right up. A lack of 3 point shooting kills the offense. It always needs that threat.
