MJAlltheWay24 Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 Greenpeace protesters on zip lines hang banners on Procter & Gamble towers - Local News Story CINCINNATI - Greenpeace protesters hung from a zipline outside Procter & Gamble's twin towers Tuesday and unfurled two 60-foot banners to protest what the group called P&G's link to tropical deforestation. I thought this was a pretty awesome protest. I'm impressed they could pull something like that off. I don't really have a comment about the nature of the protest, but what they did is pretty cool.
75center Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 Doesn't P & G have a tools division that manufactures cable cutters?
nkypete Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 I can't believe that they woud disrespect the Dolly Parton Towers like that.
Clyde Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 Harmless peaceful protest. I'm all for it. No destruction. No one was harmed.
plantmanky Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 Harmless peaceful protest. I'm all for it. No destruction. No one was harmed. Thousands of taxpayer dollars spent to handle the situation, sure no harm.
lawildcat Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 I think it's funny! Wish I could have seen it but this darn PNC bank building is in my way!
MJAlltheWay24 Posted March 4, 2014 Author Posted March 4, 2014 Harmless peaceful protest. I'm all for it. No destruction. No one was harmed. I thought it was funny. Impressive to pull something like that off. Security is going to have a real fun meeting soon.
Clyde Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 Thousands of taxpayer dollars spent to handle the situation, sure no harm. How so?
Randy Parker Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 Doesn't P & G have a tools division that manufactures cable cutters? Nice :lol2:
CincySportsFan Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 I can't believe that they woud disrespect the Dolly Parton Towers like that. So would that make their zip lines and the banners the underwire br...oh, nevermind.
doomer Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 I like it. Greenpeace is not PETA. Not that I am against PETA's vision, but how they go about it often alienates people. Usually, the only one alienated by Greenpeace's methods are those who they are targeting in the first place.
plantmanky Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 How so? Police, Fire, EMS all reported on scene. That cost money.
Clyde Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 Police, Fire, EMS all reported on scene. That cost money. Do they get paid by the call? Were they not getting paid prior to the call while they were on duty? That's like saying writing a speeding tickets costs the taxpayers money.
TAC Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 Green peace are a bunch of clowns. They dropped banners off of our building one time. They held them down by having humans on harnesses as the weights so you couldn't take them down. We used to support their efforts. Not so much anymore.
ennam_iv Posted March 4, 2014 Posted March 4, 2014 Thousands of taxpayer dollars spent to handle the situation, sure no harm. Is that really a "thumb?"
