March 4, 201412 yr I am told it is not uncommon in Florida for people to get pythons and such as pets and when they get too big for the owner, the owner will just let them go in the wild. These pythons will just live off rats, pets, etc. but the ones that really get big will try to eat the alligators. Sometimes they cannot digest the alligators and do end up dying. They are reproducing and taking over the Everglades, in fact they are so bad I think currently there is an open hunting season on them. I saw on the news that a python over 18 feet long was killed by hunters a week or two ago. The snakes are not native to No. America and all have come from pets that escaped or were released by owners.

March 4, 201412 yr The Elephant in the Living Room? This documentary is crazy and opens your eyes to the "pets" people in America get. I want to say the documentary I'm referring too was called something like Alien Invaders. They highlighted three different animals that were taking over ecosystems.

The State Fish and Wildlife Commission claims it is not a hunting program, but it sure sounds like one. Python Permit Program

March 4, 201412 yr Is it just me or was his camera shaking? Why didn't the bear attack? Probably didn't feel threatened. Generally as long as you don't surprise a bear or it's not starving they won't attack.
March 4, 201412 yr I would have shot the bear. The Jag was incredible! The problem in Florida the way I understand it, is more aggressive African Rock Pythons taking over and increasing is size as they bread with the larger Burmese Pythons. In other words, you get a super snake, large and aggressive.

March 4, 201412 yr Also when I went on a tour of the Everglades recently I was talking to our guide about the large snakes and gators. Now you have to understand, this was me being dumb and just asking questions like a child. The guide is terrified of the large snakes (because he said you know where the gators will be, close to the water, but you never know where the snakes will be which is dangerous) so I asked him why don't the gators just kill the snakes when they are smaller. He looked at me and said, the gators ain't the smartest you know... LOL He was great about it.

It seems like obtaining your raw materials would only require some ammunition, LOL. I have heard some snake meat tastes good, who knows.
