Note that "IF" the weather causes the Girls' Region Monday (tomorrow) games to be cancelled then ALL of this week's Boys' AND Girls' games would be pushed back one day. That would mean that the Boys' first two nights' of play would shift from Wednesday & Thursday to Thursday & Friday.

However, because the Girls' would play their semis and finals on Saturday & Sunday*, the Boys' semis and finals would still be played on Monday & Tuesday.

* With the Girls' State starting on March 12, Wednesday of next week, they have to get their Regional Play completed in order that the KHSAA can get everything arranged & printed with the correct teams from each Region, so they have to push to get the games played.

Thanks for this post. I was curious if they had a backup plan. Obviously with the girls state tournament starting next week (and the 12th girls playing early), the girls tournament takes priority.

Wayne County rolls. And by rolls, I mean they win all their games by 8 points or more.

I would tend to agree, but ANYTHING can happen.

I'll be rooting for Wayne Co. due to some family connections

They aren't beating Lincoln County by 8+ points.

My predictions:

First Round:

Southwestern over Pulaski County

Lincoln County over East Jessamine

Boyle County over West Jessamine

Wayne County over Casey County

Semi-Finals:

Lincoln County over Southwestern

Wayne County over Boyle County

Finals:

Wayne County over Lincoln County

While I like it at Pulaski better than Lincoln I do think Mercer County should be in the rotation.

It would not be the first time they have beat them 8+. I am not saying that Wayne will beat them 8+, cause I dont think they are gonna get to Wayne. They have a tougher first round game than I think they realize( I full well know the previous scores) and SW is a matchup nightmare for them. Taylor struggles with being closely guarded and SW has a PG that is quicker than Taylor and a pretty good defender. Taylor struggled against Perkins at Wayne and got so frustrated he got is infamous 2 game suspension for the cheap shot on Woods, so his pressure meter is not very high and most coaches in region know it. Look for it to be tested. :thumb:

Now that's funny. I've watched Taylor play for 5 years now. The one thing you do not want to do is pressure him in the half court. The only thing I've seen neutralize Taylor is a much longer defender - obviously, that has to be someone that normally plays perimeter D! And super long guards in the 12th are few and far between, and Isaacs of SW isn't one of them. Even then, that defender has to be very smart. They have to play about a step and a half off. Too close and he's gone around them; too far off and the defender is giving him too much momentum for them to have time to adjust and he's gone around them again.

Isaacs is quick, there's no question about that. So was Doss' PG; so was Montgomery's; so was Lex Cath's. There are very few guards in the 12th (or in the state) capable of neutralizing him and I don't think there are any on the 7 teams remaining in this thing.

You don't know as much as you think, timmy wasn't frustrated at all against Wayne, he put woods on his backside taking up for his team mate, which woods had in a head lock under the basket....the play before!! As far as who wins, both teams have a long road to travel.....
