You guys probably want guys that score touchdowns to hand the ball to the ref and jog to the sideline.

For everyone saying don't storm the court...when your favorite team wins the title tell the kids not to party in the streets afterwards.

How is beating your rival in a regular season game comparable to winning a national title?

Elite programs don't rush the court. It's a been there done that kind of thing. I don't mind if a historically non powerhouse team defeats a big name and storms. Duke would never storm the court after beating UNC.

Agree.

Definitely has been an odd year for UNC; they have lost games that many wouldn't have expected and have now won games against the preseason top 4 being unranked.

Rushing the court is so not a big deal at all. I am truly amazed at the length people go to be offended by a the actions of a bunch of 18-22 year olds. I told SV on twitter I don't care if Duke fans rush the court after beating Cleveland State. It's really not a big deal. I see it as the opposite. Winning is exciting. This whole 'act like you've been there before' attitude is pretty lame for a bunch of kids in the stands who actually may have never been there before.

I'm not offended at all. But just like IU, they are supposed to be one of the gold standards of college basketball. I actually laughed when they did it and was thankful UK has not and will not ever rush the court. Just imagining UK rushing the court for beating U of L earlier in the year makes me nauseous.

So we are down to 4 programs big enough to never Rush the court: UK, Duke, Kansas and UL. UNC and Indiana, it was nice knowing you

Actually I remember Duke storming the court a few seasons ago after a last second win over Clemson I believe. But, whatever. You get excited and run about 50 feet to the center of the court and just stand around. I just think it is incredibly dangerous for the fans but more importantly the players, that is my biggest problem with it. I am tired of talking about it.

As for the game, that was some terrible basketball being played by both teams.

So, I'm assuming this means Duke will move up to #3 in next week's poll?

With a win over Syracuse on Saturday they are vying for overall #1 seed status. Duke's best win to date is beating Michigan at the start of December at home. I guess you could say Virgnia is, but I am not buying they are all that great. They got beat down by UT and lost at Green Bay.

If you are an elite program you've won titles before. Act like you've been there. Golf clap your title and go home since you are an elite program.

First time since 1961/62 season that one team has beaten all 4 of the top 4 pre-season teams.

But this was no where close to winning the title...

Oscar Combs just tweeted that UK fans stormed the court and carried Coach Hall off the floor after beating Tennesssee in the 1973 finale to win the SEC. It was Hall's first season as head coach.
