Just for fun, CovCath is 22-1 against a schedule that has compiled a 270-215 record (149-114 KY opponents / 121-101 out of state opponents). Their opponent tonight is 21-7 and tomorrow's opponent is 18-1: 39-8.

Their best opponents: Lou. St. X. (19-5), Campbell Co. (15-6), Rowan Co. (17-9), Holmes (20-4), Cardinal Mooney (FL) (16-7), North Port (FL) (20-5), Corydon (IN) (14-3), Fairfield (their lone loss as of today) (OH) (17-4), and Summit Country Day (14-5).

Their worst opponents: Highlands (6-12), Holy Cross (6-17), Winton Woods (OH) (7-13), Riverview (FL) (3-17), Anderson (OH) (4-17).

In regards to their out of district schedule, the teams Montgomery has played so far this year are a combined 253-202 as of today. To me, that's a pretty good sign that you are playing teams that are pretty decent. Is their schedule not as tough as last year? Possibly, but it's not weak by any means.

By my count Wayne County's opponent's combined record is 257-201. Out of state opponents not included.

Wayne County's best win is against Knott County Central at a neutral site.

Montgomery County's best win is against Wayne County at home.

Not arguing against Wayne Co. They are good and have proven it.

I'm saying I think Montgomery Co. is a top 10 team.

Do you not think the Lincoln Co. win was a nice win? I know you've seen them play.

What about Lawrence Co.? I know you've seen them play too!

I haven't seen Lawrence County but from the info I gathered that was a good win as was the Lincoln win. Both teams benefitted from that game IMO. The way they lost to E-town hurt Montgomery and had Wayne County got blown out in the manner that Montgomery County did then I am fairly certain they would have dropped in the rankings in similar fashion. The knock on Wayne and Montgomery has been their schedule strength. Now that both are playing tougher teams it makes accurately placing them in the rankings even harder.

I also believe that Montgomery County is the only team in the top 20 that was 6 points away from having the running clock put on them by a team that was unranked at the time.

Somebody get this man a harp.

Trinity is without a doubt a top 4 team in the state. IMO they are #2.

I hope to check out T and NCC next week in Louisville.

Ballard plays at SK Monday night.

Watching them against Scott Co, they just didn't look that good. Despite that, they came back and made it a game late. I think 4 is correct for them. With that said, I think they have the best team to beat Ballard in the state.

Trivia:

Wayne County, 25-1, 15 home games (according to KHSAA) 57% home

Montgomery County, 23-1, 9 home games (according to KHSAA) 37.5% home

Just trivia.

Newport Catholic 24-3.....5 home games 18% home

Lincoln Co lost to South Oldham by 27. Not sure if it was ever worse than that. Cordia lost to Male by 20. Neither were quite as bad of a final, but probably were most of the way.

Once again, Lincoln County played without their best player, point guard, Timmy Taylor. Take the starting point guard off of any team and watch them suffer.(LexCath) Add in the fact that the bed player is also the point guard and then what?????

Montgomery County beat Lincoln County by 2 at home right? Should South Oldham be 14?
