Like it or not KSR has the largest following within the fan base. More people would see UK stuff if Jones and company were on there rather than a guy like Cutler. UK realizes this and are capitalizing on it. Pretty good partnership really.

I could care less because I do what I do because I love the game of basketball and the relationships I've formed with basketball folks over the last 5 years. But, I know a lot of people don't care for it.
February 6, 201412 yr Jones might be a turd, but you have to admit that he is pretty smart. He figured out a way to make money off being a fan of UK. He was ahead of the time with the use of the net and social media as compared with so called "real media". I'd guess many of the traditional media are jelous of his success. I think it's hilarious how much other media members are concerned with him. They act like he is irrelevant, but yet they can't seem to keep his name out of their tweets. I've never met him, but I've heard that he is extremely nice in person. I'd guess that some of the attidue and behaviour on the radio is simply him playing to the fanbase, which again is smart on his part.
February 6, 201412 yr I like Jones and couldn't care less about a photo on his site or who took it. If the photographer cared so much, he should imbed his images with his name and copyright info... This is just another reason I don't care for newspapers, especially their silly policies and expectations of courtesy from others, but rarely give it to anyone else like bloggers...

For the record, most of the newspaper and tv guys give me great respect and always give me credit. I also get along with everyone in the media room, etc. So it's not all bloggers....
February 6, 201412 yr Serious question does traditional media want sympathy from general public for not being able to change with the times. Obviously if KSR is breaking law then they should be punished. But if all they are doing is breaking some code the so called traditional media has set then who cares. Matt has a relationship and access to the UK program that a lot of reporters around the state want. They act like KSR doesn't exist most the time and then when they sense a chink in the armor it makes the front page of every newspaper in the states website . That in and of itself shows the popularity of KSR in the state.

February 6, 201412 yr Wireman... why not start watermarking your photos with your name/copyright before posting? That way they're obviously yours no matter how anyone else finds them.

I've considered that but I can't even keep up now during the season. I just don't have time to watermark and all that other good stuff.
