Didn't mean to offend you all about the upbringing comment (maybe a little over the top), but I know a lot you have probably expressed the comment "I didn't raise you like that!" That's all I'm saying. I know nothing about this person, so it's just my opinion here. Even if it was an accident, seeing the meaning behind the banner, the respectful thing to do would be by all means fix the banner you intentionally or accidentally ripped down.

I'll jump in on this one. First of all, sorry to hear about the Loss of the life of a youngster. Very tragic. I cant image the pain Of the mother. Hopefully the sign being torn was indeed an accident and the was no poor intent. While from the image I saw, they did not tear the whole banner down, it the wish was to purposely disgrace the sign I would think the whole thing would have been ripped up? Once again, only one photo and maybe it was. A lot of folks have stepped up to take a shot at a Cov Cath student or student body. My guess is regardless of what happened, the Cov Cath faithful will step up and replace the sign for them. Than maybe raiders94 can use his brand new free membership to post about happier occasions at sporting events.

As a Ryle fan I can tell you there is no good going to come out of this show of support. Many of the students are doing this as an anti CovCath thing instead of a sign of support.

It wont get out of hand if that is what you are afraid of.

Randy Borchers wouldn't allow that in the first place, so you don't have to worry about that. If someone does get out of line, just like the student who tore the sign in the first place should have been, the one(s) who are out of line at the Cooper game you can count on will be handled by R Borchers immediately.

 

Maybe what would help mend wounds would be for CCH Students go to the next Ryle game and sit with their students in their student section and cheer on the Ryle team whoever they are playing against.

 

That kind of unity would speak volumes.

I agree. I hope the schools' administrators make sure they don't allow their students to embarrass themselves in "retaliation."

Before you call my opinion or comment "ignorant", Check your reading abilities. I never said "poor", just a questioning. Yes, believe it or not there are some kids out there that are allowed to do whatever they feel like in the home without repercussion, and that carries over into the public. Call it what you want, but I never said poor. Focus on the issue here and hope that lessons were learned accident or not.

Cooper is playing CCH on Tuesday that is why they chose that game.

 

As I said, it would be much better imo if CCH is truly sorry for the incident then the best choice would be for CCH students to attend and sit with the Ryle Student section at their next game.

This will not get out of hand. Between Randy, Ryles AD and the SO department this should be nothing more than a game with usual chants back and forth.

Perhaps Mother Nature is going to head this off at the pass. Has the game been cancelled?
