Just saying...for not trying to imply that Cov Cath students are any worse than any other student body, you've been throwing an awful lot of very pointed comments directly at Cov Cath and their student body - by name. It may not have been your intention to imply that our students are any worse, but when I decided to get back into this thread this morning and read through for the first time in about 24 hours, it sure appears that way nonetheless.

Bluedad these are just a few of the posts made hinting toward what you claim I did.

 

Now if you read my posts you will see the only time I mentioned CCH was just stating the students school. Not one time did I ever say I disliked CCH, it was simply stating what school the student reposible attends.

I also several times pointed out it could have been Cooper etc.

 

The pots I quoted here were all in jest and if you cant tell that then maybe you shouldn't read mb's.

I took CWB's post as taking Hellbird to task for saying the students at other schools were not any worse than the CCH students. To me, I read that as he felt the CCH students are better. But I might have misinterpreted it though.

No I haven't. Again the only time I even mentioned CCH in my posts was simply to identify who tore the poster. It was the same as if Cooper's student body was the one who tore the poster I would state Cooper in those posts.

 

For me saying CCH in my posts automatically apparently force some to put up their defenses.

 

Pleas show me ay post I made that said CCH is different in any way than other studet bodies.

 

Actually if you go back to my earlier post you will see where Iactaully name a couple CCH students who I have nothing but the utmost respect for and even said f they saw it happen they would of taken care of it then. Christian and Luke Bir absolutely love them and are class acts.

 

Never once did I put CCH student body in a different category than anyone else.

As a total outside observer with no kids at CCH, no alum connections, and with a kid at Longbranch, right next to Cooper, this comment stood out to me......and I can see how it would "rile up" (no pun intended, but it works :lol2:) some readers.

And to answer your question, I don't think the students are really all that different, no. However, I think they are held to a higher standard - sometimes justifiably, and other times unjustifiably. Much of this higher standard is coming from within the school and church community, and it's a good thing. However, Cov Cath students often have a bullseye on their chest when they go out in their Colonel Gear, or attend school/athletic events representing the school. Unfortunately, the fact that they are from a 1) Catholic school, and 2) private school can sometimes arouse ire in the people they encounter. Like it or not, that's a fact. I'm not saying it was Hellbird's impetus, but regardless, that does happen.

To me the higher standard talk smells of arrogance, and is a underhanded slight to other schools. For the record my daughter graduated from NDA.
