......oh and BTW, I'm with CWB on the "held to a higher standard issue". At NewCath Carl Foster tells the students this, Bob Noll told the students this, and it doesn't mean we are better than anyone else.

Here is an idea. How about the CCH student section wear T-shirts in honor of both of the Ryle students at the Cooper game? I know it was just one student, but it will show that they so care and didn't not approve of the action by their fellow classmate.

 

If it was my kid, I would ask Cooper if he could apologize to the family at mid court before the game, along with the written letters of apology to the kids entire family.

 

It would also be nice to see the Cooper and Ryle students wear T-shirts in the kids honor as well.

My daughter brought this subject up the other night when Mr. lawildcat and I were driving her home from work. Through the wonderful world of Twitter, of course, everyone knows about this incident. I took this opportunity to discuss with her how her actions not only reflect back on her dad and I but that it is a reflection of her school and peers as well. I also let her know that in this day and age, stupid things that kids do are now thrown out there for all to see and judge so think before you act or your name may be on that next Twitter broadcast.

 

How many of you have had this conversation with your kids lately? Maybe it's time to do so again.

After 10 pages of teeth gnashing about the scoundrels at CCH, we see that- despite all that was said and implied- they are, after all, some classy kids (yet kids nonetheless) led by a top notch administration.

 

As evidence that there were no suspensions or detentions handed out, it was determined that this incident was an unfortunate accident, and this gesture acknowledges the accident.

 

Can't wait to see the next 10 pages acknowledging this. Waiting...waiting...

Very glad they acknowledged what they did and did what they could to try and make it right.

#1 -I sure as hell don't expect ten more pages. I was being sarcastic but at you're rate you never know- it could happen.

#2- I didn't put them "on a pedestal" or call them MORE classy than other students (as you strangely claim in other posts). That's your own inferiority complex at work. I just said they are classy kids led by a classy administration.

#3- since your omniscient and all, you probably know without a doubt that the letter and banner were all driven 100% by the administration right? Couldn't have been by a student or students right?
