I have my reasons for my comment and I'll leave it at that. It's nothing personal but I have just heard and then seen some things brought to my attention (by those close to the Lville hoops scene) that I really don't agree with.

Walter might be "sour" on Szabo because it was perceived he was the one that "poo-pooed" the big Open Gym that was supposed to take place back in September at Newport High School.........just my guess.

Trinity plays the 7th, 8th, and 11th. The 8th is Scott Co. Doubt if they wanted to squeeze Holmes in there and be at their best. Probably why Szabo reached out to Booher. That's my guess.

 

This seems to me as to why they wouldn't play on the 9th. 4 games in 5 days and 3 games in 3 days isn't necessary in February. I applaud them for trying to get the game in and using logic in that process also.

Trinity playing Holmes tomorrow is classless. The Joe B will be rescheduled for Feb 9th. But those two teams obviously wont be there if they are playing tomorrow. A slap in Joe B's face!

If my math serves me correctly IF Trinity plays on the 9th that would be 6 games in 7 day,s 2 weeks before district tournaments start. That IMVHO would be unwise.

I just don't believe either team was attempting a slam at anybody in MoCo or Joe B. There are no guarantees with this winter that anything would be played and they want to play a scheduled game. Hence, the standing invitation if that is correct.
