Holmes/Trinity Game Moved To Holmes/canceled

Although I'm not a fan of some of Szabo's coaching tactics, I applaud him for calling up Coach Booher to try to move the game to Holmes and make sure it is still played. With it being a 4:00 tip, that should be enough time for travel to not be an issue. Holmes being an inner city school helps them in this case, IMO. Those roads are rarely bad.

What "tactics" do you not like?

Trinity playing Holmes tomorrow is classless. The Joe B will be rescheduled for Feb 9th. But those two teams obviously wont be there if they are playing tomorrow. A slap in Joe B's face!

Doubt that was the motivation.

Probably both teams wanted to make sure the game got played as it will make both of them better come district time and not sure if they can play Feb 9th. I doubt they were trying to offend Coach Hall in any way.

Lighten up, chief.

It's the truth. Taking away from the event!

Trinity plays the 7th, 8th, and 11th. The 8th is Scott Co. Doubt if they wanted to squeeze Holmes in there and be at their best. Probably why Szabo reached out to Booher. That's my guess.

Neither team plays 2/9... I wouldn't rule out the possibility of them playing again that day too. It would be a tough turn around for T as they play Scoyt Co the day before but Holmes will be in the middle of a 4 day break.

This is obviously a game each wants to play. Good competition for both. They still have the 9th as a fall back. It would be tough to find a game with similar competition this late.

I hope your right.

I can guarantee T wants to play the game win or lose.

Szabo has reached a level where he wants to prepare his kids for the end of the season and he will risk a regular season loss against a quality team if he thinks it will help his team in the end.

Can't disagree with that approach

I would believe Booher has the same mindset

What tactics of Szabo do you find fault with?

He's a good guy...not knocking him as a person.

I have my reasons for my comment and I'll leave it at that. It's nothing personal but I have just heard and then seen some things brought to my attention (by those close to the Lville hoops scene) that I really don't agree with.
