Fact And Fiction About Clyde

Featured Replies

Hopefully fact.

And hopefully we get to hear the story.

It is indeed fact.

I was at a high school game watching. Not overly crowded. Sitting with another guy who covers NKY sports. The visiting team's student section rolled in and sat in the section next to us. Smartly, the principal came down and told them they were in the wrong section and directed them to move. Instead of them leaving the principal decided to stand in the aisle and watch the game. He was standing DIRECTLY in front of me and the other guy.

At this point I should let you know that OCCASIONALLY I can lose my temper and will be ready to "go" when someone tries to show me how big theirs is. Not necessarily proud of that but..it's there.

Back to the story. I POLITELY(and when I say "politely" I mean extremely polite - called him "sir" and said "please') ask the gentlemen if he can step out of the aisle so that my buddy and I can see the game. At this point he goes the "show me how big his is" direction and says , very prissy-like, "I don't have to."

Even though I'm 50 I'm still surprised at how fast that "go" switch can flip on. I think it actually surprises many.

Without much pause I may have told him that he was getting ready to get his prissy rear end kicked. I may have used some adjectives that the English department usually doesn't teach. Smartly, he sauntered away and went looking for the local police. Knowing what was coming I just went ahead and told my buddy I'd catch him later and followed the principal to the police and told them I knew the drill and left.

Not my proudest moment and I fully deserved my ejection but , again, the principal was totally out of line.

6 is WAYYYYY fact.

6 is 1000% fact.

If the George Clooney thing is true... then how cool is that?

My wife thinks it's pretty cool and wonders why I haven't met him yet or followed in his footsteps(or look as good as he does).

Love that, I have a cool story for you about George Clooney.

He was best friends with my sister in laws older brother when they were in college together. George used to spend the night at their house a lot on weekends. My sister in law was in the 6th grade at the time. One Friday night she got up in the middle of the night to go to the bathroom. As she walked down the hall, out of the bathroom came George Clooney wearing nothing but his underwear. So she wrote in her diary when she got back to her room, "I just saw my first guy in his underwear, George Clooney"

It is indeed fact.

Fact or Fiction: The Jack Reacher character by author Lee Child was loosely based on Clyde.
