January 29, 201511 yr I feel like ya'll are always eating good haha! We hardly ever go out and eat. Son packs his lunch to take to work, both husband and I are retired. Husband will go a couple of days a week to the Church on Tates Creek and eat lunch with his buddies. I feel if my son has worked hard all day he needs a good supper. My grocery bills are high, I don't scrimp on what we eat, but I do watch for all the sales that week and plan my meals around that. Aspargus is on sale now at Krogers, we love it and that is why we are having it tonight. I also stockpile things in our 2 upright freezers, 1 chest freezer and 2 side by sides. I also grow a garden in the summer and can and freeze all I can. I try to make sure we eat healthy. Husband and son need to loose weight and I need to gain some....:lol2: I was thinking same thing, ever have a dinner of a sandwich and mac and cheese? No, but we may have a supper of homemade soup and a big ole home cooked cheeseburger.
January 29, 201511 yr Aspargus is on sale now at Krogers, we love it and that is why we are having it tonight. Is it finally on sale. Last year about this time they had it on sale, 99 cents a lb. I'm cheap and keep waiting for it to get to that again this year. Love me some asparagus. Not hating, just jealous!

January 30, 201511 yr It was $3.59 a lb last week and on sale this week for $1.88 at Krogers. $0.08 is too much, The womenfolk in the family love it, though. I can barely tolerate the tips IF roasted and IF parmesan and olive oil is liberally applied.
January 30, 201511 yr BLT with a fried egg & a slice of cheese on it. Plus the rest of yesterday's coleslaw.
