Dinner: what did you have?

Pretty much. :lol2::lol2:

We weren't planning to be out there, but I had a craving, so that's where we ended up.

There's a pastry shop next door to Dewey's. You ever been? It was closed when we were leaving.

I don't remember the name. It's the little place between Jared & Dewey's.

You would be challenged to find a really good donut place in greater Cincinnati that I haven't been to. To think there's one within spitting distance of my house that I would not have frequented? Zero chance.

Yep, that's Servatii's.

When we went into Dewey's, a guy was walking out of that place with a cake. I wanted to check it out to see if they had doughnuts, but they closed at 6:30 and we got out of Dewey's at about 6:35.

Took my mom to Merrick Inn on the patio last night. We both had the Orange Roughy with lemon and blueberry sauce. For sides we chose green beans with county ham and tomato casserole. All were excellent, but the tomato casserole I could make a meal on it....sooo good.

I ate a Smokey Valley Burger, as Smokey Valley Truck Stop in Olive Hill, KY will closing down for good come Sept. 30. I don't get near there often and figured I better eat there before it closes for good. Awesome food like always!

Bummer that it's closing up. Any idea why?

Grilled up a couple chicken breasts I had marinating in a mixture of hot sauce, salt, pepper, onion salt, and garlic. Chopped them up and threw them in a salad with some peppered ranch dressing.

Open face (slow cooked) chuck roast sandwich on Chicago style Rye with a thick slice of Muenster cheese browned on top. Little side of horseradish mayo to go with

Only thing I heard was owner was retiring. I assume since they didn't try to sell that they will still be selling gas?

After a long tiresome weekend, we have been lazy all day. Stopped and got some deli cold cuts and the oldest stopped and got a pizza. I'm eating a roast beef, salami, and Colby cheese with mayo.

I'm not a huge black olives fan, but I didn't take anything off. So, so good.

And yes, Crestview Hills. My favorite pizza, even though it's just our second time going there.

My only complaint would be the salads.

You judge pizza places on the quality of their salads?

Ground lamb gyros, fried potatoes and Greek salad.

Should have posted on Saturday.

Simon Kenton Days in "Old Washington". Ribeye sandwich, Then mcmama and I split barbecued chicken, fried potatoes, collard greens, red beans and rice, crawfish and a jam cake cupcake.

No. It's my favorite place to get pizza. I just don't like their salads.
