I just don't understand the rush and desire to get rid of a QB in his 3rd year as a pro who has made the playoffs every year of his career so far. Be careful what you wish for. He isn't an elite QB but I feel like it is way too early to dump him. It would be one thing if Dalton had even a mediocre game in the post season in any of his games.....he hasn't. He is not rookie anymore. He has started over 50 games in this league. There is one thing he and Eli have in common this year, both threw more int's than Eli's Td total this year (18).
January 5, 201412 yr Marvin should gone. There is zero doubt that Bengals improved under him but he is not the coach that can take them to the next level. Dalton should be kept but they have to be looking to draft a QB as I doubt they find anything in free agency.

That doesn't mean you don't have your draft board ready if there is one worth grabbing at your spot. To always use the excuse of "There isn't anyone worth taking with the pick" then you will always be stuck with a bad QB with no hope of improvement.

He isn't an elite QB but I feel like it is way too early to dump him. Same exact thing the Jets saw after 3 years of Sanchez. Problem is Geno Smith might not be better. It's a tough position for sure but if you think his ceiling is decent QB afraid of big moments you have to make a move at that position.

Being a good QB away from a great team is the main missing link. Why would you want to get rid of the good talent you have? You would be creating more holes and needs than you currently have. I've never been of the philosophy to trade your best pleura to try and get something in return especially when you can get what you need in free agency or draft.

You're not going to find a better QB than Dalton outside of round 1 and the next big free agent QB to come to Cincy will be the first one since when?
