They had no answer for him, and they went away from him. The problem is the Chargers were also running well and controlling the clock too. Hence the reason why it was 10 to 7 at half. To be able to run you have to get first downs. In the 2nd half the Bengals offense stalled at the 50 on the first drive. Chargers then get a touchdown and go up 14 to 10. 2nd drive they get stuffed on 1st down running the ball, 2nd down incomplete pass, 3rd and long now and then thats when Dalton fumbles and Chargers now up 17 to 10. 3rd drive I Dalton threw the pick on the 2nd play of that drive, and now they are down 20 to 10 heading into the 4th. So yes they probably could have tried to run more in the 4th. However you also have to take into account they were down 10 and the Chargers were also running the ball. Being down 10 your in no position to take a lot of time off the clock to score, and then having the Chargers possibly down the same. The way the 2nd half with Dalton's turnovers at the start of drives dictated them not being able to run as much as they did in first half.

January 15, 201412 yr Ok enough of this nonsense. It isn't Andy's or Marvin's fault. It is my wife's. my kids bought me a custom jersey with my grand kids name on the sleeve. Only thing I have ever asked for. I never take Christmas or birthday presents from them because they needn't spend their money on me. Anyway, I wore this jersey to every home game and never washed it. i just hung it back in the closet and the Bengals won every home game. After the ravens game I left it on the chair in the bedroom and my wife WASHED IT! That is the reason the Bengals lost. Sorry I let all of you be misguided about AD and ML.
