January 6, 201412 yr Eventually cooler heads will think through this thing. Dalton surely doesn't look like he is the answer when thrust into the spotlight. There have been Super Bowl QB's that throw picks as much as he does, however, they also made big plays when it counted at times. Dalton doesn't, biggest throw he made was in Pittsburgh last season. No excuses for him. He has played 51 games and it very much looks like we know who he is. I would not reach for a QB at all. They have other needs. They will lose Michael Johnson, Gaethers, and Crocker on defense and probably Gresham, Hawkins, and BJGE on offense. They will concentrate on AJ for an extension and will sign a few others back.

The best thing about the 81 team was they were very good defensively and offensively. This is the closest we've been on both sides of the ball. The biggest glaring weakness in this years team is QB and then OLine. But the line was good enough to get the job done. Unfortunately our QB wasn't.

I just think the 81 team is better at QB OL DBs RB TE and maybe a tie at WR. That leaves DL LB and ST. 6 pro bowlers and a HOF tackle on the 81 squad. Oh and they won a couple of playoff games. Probably the most glaring difference is not with the players though.
