I have concerns about bringing back Petrino. Not one of them has to do with whether it matches an a athletic department PR campaign for Twitter.

As has already been stated, it was a PR deal, something for the fans to rally around. It wasn't created for UK fans approval, shockingly enough to them...

January 8, 201412 yr As a UK fan, IM kind of happy if they hire Petrino. At least with Petrino you know what your going to get. I'll be really glad because that means they didnt hire MSU's D coordinator who I heard was rumored to have accepted the job. From an opposition standpoint Ill take facing and Offensive oriented coach over facing a defensive oriented coach.

Let's not kid ourselves, they won't be doing it only for that reason. The crap Petrino pulled at Arkansas was downright embarrassing for the school and pretty hilarious from the outside. There's not much talking around it other than to hear it and hope that it's not happening again should he get hired.

I'm not going to act like I care about that, though. Very few people haven't done anything they aren't proud of, including myself. I don't hold Pitino's mistake against him, I wouldn't hold Petrino's against him. As long as whoever the replacement is wins games and doesn't cheat, I couldn't care less about what they do on their own time, as long as it doesn't affect the job.
