Not trying to be cheeky here, but what about UK's history with Petrino could possibly make you excited to see him on an opposing sideline? His record against UK (at multiple schools) is pretty impressive.

I dont blame UL for hiring him if he is a so called "changed man" people deserve a second chance. But to say in essence, "I dont care what you do off the field, as long as you win ballgames" That's ignorant.

 

I doubt that Petrino is a changed man, otherwise he would stay at WKU more than one year before bolting for the next job. Is this not the same pattern he has been following for years?

 

I believe that UL can do better, maybe someone already on staff would work out better in the long run.

He's never lacked for outspokenness. And I'm sure that's emboldened by nearly every current player coming out in support of his getting the job.

 

I like the guy and I'm sure the press would love it; his press conferences would be an about-face from Charlie Strong's. I'm definitely not against it. Also not against Narduzzi. Petrino has some glaring flaws but I'm not even against him. I think we've got a pretty solid list here. Any of them are perfectly workable as the next man in charge on Floyd Street.

His tweet said no such thing. He said he's still in contention for the UofL HC job. That doesn't mean he hasn't accepted the UT DC job contingent on whether or not he gets the Louisville gig.

 

If he's not named HC, I guarantee he's the Texas DC.
