I seem to recall him talking about how the whole Arkansas incident has changed him, etc., etc.....Him bailing on Western after a single season would contradict that wouldn't it? Same old Bobby, right? I can't imagine if he's offered, he'd turn it down.
January 7, 201412 yr If I remember Guy went 7-5 and was hired at Baylor. Also little different UK was at beginning of probation. Went 2-9 his first year, which also followed up a 2-9 year in Mumme's final season. I know what you mean, though.

January 7, 201412 yr I am a big fan of Bobby P. I think is he an offensive guru. But there are problems with him that are beyond motor cylce rides and looking for the next big job. Bobby was not a good recruiter. Now he was good at developing players but as far as landing top tier talent he didnt.

Bush and Brohm were pretty top-tier, but they were also from KY so yeah, I get what you're saying.

I'd say they can recruit pretty well.

January 7, 201412 yr It is fascinating to see the divide regarding Petrino just among Louisville fans. I have a handful of friends that are UofL alumni, 3 of them are vehemently against bringing him back, the other 2 are all for it, because as they say, all that matters is winning.

I think there's a serious mistake being made by those who assume that Petrino will show up and just pick up like it's January 2007 and the train will keep on rolling. He was never known as a spectacular recruiter but as a guy who got great ability of the talent he had. I definitely worry that his four years at Louisville will be harder to recreate than expected.
