Kroger - P&G - Tide - CoverGirl - Bounty - Gillette buy up tickets - Bengals on TV

SELLOUT!!!!!!!!!

P&G stepped up for the remainder of the tickets.

Like Pete said and from Bengals.com:

This Sunday’s 1 p.m. home wild card playoff game vs. the San Diego Chargers is officially a sellout, the Bengals ticket office announced today.

This purchase by Tide, Gillette, CoverGirl and Bounty enables the game to be sold out and therefore broadcast locally to fans wanting to watch the game on television.

The game will be televised in the Bengals home market on CBS affiliates WKRC-TV (Channel 12) in Cincinnati, WHIO-TV (Channel 7) in Dayton and WKYT-TV (Channel 27) in Lexington, Ky.

P&G and its brands—Tide, Gillette, Cover Girl and Bounty—have stepped up to purchase the remaining available tickets. The tickets will be added to the complimentary tickets Kroger is giving away this weekend to local military families who can attend the game and cheer on the Bengals.

Kroger will distribute the tickets to US Military veterans and Active Duty service members at several store locations in the area. Customers just need to show their Military ID for two FREE tickets to Sunday’s game (while supplies last). The distribution will take place on Saturday, Jan. 4 at the following Kroger store locations:

Much ado about nothing, honestly, it was never going to get to the point of a blackout. Too many entities had too much to lose.

As a Kroger customer this makes me happy and loyal to them.

On an unrelated note....

As someone who used to work for a company that made the majority of its business from building and renovating Kroger stores....it was and continues to be hard to be happy with and loyal to Kroger given they way they treat their vendors/contractors.

We all know that MTGL but it still feels good.

And now we return to our regularly scheduled lives already in progress.

This deal was worked out last night before the extension. They didn't announce it because whatever was bought would lessen the amount corporate sponsors would have to buy. But make no mistake this was a done deal.

Don't blame them for holding out.

Same number you bought...

Just doing our part for the community.

Don't blame them for holding out.

O either do I.

Glad the company's are donating the tickets to military families (active duty and retired). Our son returned from a tour 2 weeks ago. We did attend last weeks game between the Bengals and the Ravens. You cannot imagine the joy someone feels after being out of the United States for 9 months.

Agreed, it's a beautiful thing. With Kroger/P&G being local companies it really does make you proud of your community. Not just the companies stepping up but the troops too. Those ladies and gentlemen deserve to be treated to something like this.
