Krogers stepped up to the plate and bought a large amount of tickets to Sunday's playoff game and will be giving them away to any retired or active military members tomorrow at participating Krogers stores in Cincinnati and Dayton area.

Looks like the game will be televised. This was posted on Bengals Web Site 11 mins ago.

It should be enough that other local retailers etc. can buy up the remaining I would think. I'm sure it will be sold out by the deadline.

Good move by Kroger and glad they did it. Might buy some Kroger wings on Sunday just to thank them while I watch the game haha!

And the Tostitos truck is unloading at Kroger as we speak. With the Pepsi truck next in line.

How many did Chad buy?

As a Kroger customer this makes me happy and loyal to them.

How many did Chad buy?

Same number you bought...

I saw this and am really glad Kroger did so for a few reasons. 1) to support the military 2) to help the game be aired and 3) selfishly, I can go to the game without spending $100 that I don't have.

Are all of you going to be praising Kroger when the prices go up to pay for these tickets?

Game still not sold out as of now - Kroger bought tickets, but not all of them. Other companies ponied up, or will.

I imagine Local 12 will buy up whatever is still available at about 4:15 PM to avoid the blackout.

Colts sold out because Meijer stepped in and bought 1,200 tickets. Joe Reedy tweeted out that while no one from Kroger would confirm an actual # of tickets purchased, it was larger than the 1,200 Meijer bought in Indy. Kudos to Kroger. They'll make that money back ten-fold with the amount of food and beverage purchases people will make for watch-parties.

A couple hours agomitmwas reported that there were less than 2k tickets left so it is sounding like someone will step up before 4 to buy the remaining.

@GreggDoyelCBS: Ticketmaster has Bengals tickets only in groups of 2, and "not many available." Blackout avoided looks like."

Glad to see Kroger stepped up. Glad the troops are benefiting from it as well.
