Matt Jones says a source is telling him that Behanan is headed to Florida State.

Probably not true.

If players can legally go to an off campus bar and drink what's the difference with Recreational Marijuana?

It's an issue of there is an NCAA rule on the substance. To my knowledge, the NCAA has no such rule on alcohol.

If the NCAA decides to have substance restrictions tighter than local law, then that's just the way it is.

Chane Behanan needs your prayers. He's in a battle with some pretty tough demons. Personally, I hope the kid gets it all worked out and makes the most out of his career.

No he's not. Choices, Decisions, Consequences. That simple.

So a UK Football player (over 21) in his own time, off campus can't drink beer?

Why did you just mention off campus? Because the university has a policy that no alcohol is allowed on campus by students. It's not illegal to drink at age 21. The point being the university can set forth whatever guidelines they want for their students, whether or not its against the law for them to do otherwise.

Didn't Coach Pitino have a rule about his players tweeting? Last time I checked tweeting wasn't against the law.

Yeah it's not that simple.

Sure we all make choices, and decisions, but that certainly doesn't mean that we don't battle making those choices and decisions every day. I've been battling being overweight and overeating for a few years now, and I certainly covet all the prayers I can get making those right eating and exercise decisions everyday.

You really think every persons daily life is like that? Really??

Yes. Just because it's legal in the state, doesn't mean a University would have to allow it to play sports. Not to mention, I'm sure the NCAA would frown upon that. JMO.

Exactly.

If weed were made legal in Kentucky, many of our employers would still not allow it.

I'm told that what Matt Jones reported isn't true but who knows. Also told that WKU, Gonzaga and Wichita State have reached out to Chane.

^ Can you imagine if Western got hold of him and he actually committed himself to turning things around? A team like Western with Behanan and Fant underneath starting in January next year... Whew.

He would be an absolute monster at that level. I think he doesn't play in college again but that's just my opinion.

Off campus? Yes. On campus? No. No alcohol is allowed on campus last I was told.

What a bunch of prudes. We had a pub inside the student union at Dayton.
