Yep. The community is about football. They are isolated and do things on their own terms. Cult-like, successful, it works. To think their demi-God, with an assist from the administration, is going to choose an outsider defies logic.

Why should they consider anyone else? How many championships has Weinrich been a part of?

Just because the hygienist cleans your teeth, it does not make her a dentist.

I have no knowledge of the applicants nor do I have any opinion one way or the other has to who they hire, but how did that line of thinking work out for Charlie Weis?

Blue koolaid is running out in Independence? Certainly not in Fort Thomas that is for sure. Next years seniors pummelled SK, juniors would not play them and they beat next years sophs 13-0. Still waiting for Marksberry to pick up the phone and get on the schedule. Until then, your boys have no street cred in the Fort. By the way, isn't Highlands like 25 and 1 all time against SK or something along those lines?

Interesting post 'Ru. I was just talking about this with someone last night at Skyline. While I certainly believe Brian Weinrich is the top choice, should HHS not consider someone like Steve Lickert or Chris Wolfe that might be interested. Or someone like Steve Specht from Cin St. X or Doug Ramsey from Elder? What about Bill Letton from LexCath? The one thing that all of these men have over Brian Weinrich is head coaching experience. At the end of the day, I still think it is Brian Weinrich's job to lose.

What if the hygienist is a dentist? Weinrich has been assistant or co-head coach and I believe he coached Highlands to their state title win two years ago when Mueller missed for family reasons.

Nope the Koolaid in Independence just got updated.

Unless Saban walks thru the door ......Yes.

If Saban became the head coach at Highlands, I'd start cheering for CovCath.

My vote (not that I have one) is for Coach Weinrich.

You need to have a well for it to run dry....you guys havent even dug a hole yet!

.......

If Highlands would choose an assistant over Steve Specht, things are crazier in the Fort than I thought. :ohbrother:

I guess it would depend on the reason WHY Specht is available in the first place.
