January 3, 201412 yr Here is a few thoughts Texas is still chasing guys after they have talked with Strong which makes me believe he isnt their guy. (I could be wrong) What I think Charlie does best is stay quiet. I know some fans get mad because he just wont run out and say he is or isnt leaving. I think every coach should be allowed to go through a process. Also like that Jurich stays quiet and not show fear that his coach is wanted. I wont be neverous until Jurich leaves or retires. He is one of the best AD's out there.

He is one of the best AD's out there. All could be very true. Chuck may end up being a very well paid fall back option and one that will work out for Texas. They need to quit trying to jump the shark.

He is one of the best AD's out there. Yeah, I don't get the hoopla about Charlie/Tom not coming out and saying anything. What if there is nothing to be said? I don't mind at all if Charlie has talked/is talking to Texas. It means we have a coach that is sought after, which means our program is in a good place. When there is something of substance to be said, we will hear it from the Louisville camp.
January 3, 201412 yr Stepping stone is better than stumbling block. LOL. To be fair, UK was a pretty good project for Brooks to end his career on a pretty decent note. UK was in some ways a stepping stone for Morris before he thought he was going to do well at Baylor. Hal was just a cheater, he would have been at UK or anywhere else most likely.

January 3, 201412 yr At least that's what non UL fans around here hope, anyway... Rising above the Stepping Stone status will be difficult for UofL. If you think about it, most of the top jobs today (Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Ohio State, Alabama, Michigan, etc.) have been the top jobs for the past several decades. Trying to break into that select group of premier, destination college jobs where only the NFL is an upgrade is pretty rare. Off the top of my head I am trying to think of who has broken into it? Some thought Virginia Tech might but they haven't. Oregon is not quite there.

So I guess that makes the assumption that Golden is the new man in charge at Penn State if Miami is a possible Strong destination?
