Louisville is a stepping stone for coaches. They play a weak schedule in a pathetic conference which enables the coach to win a lot of games and make them look like they are great coaches and then move to bigger jobs.

I think it would be a mistake to hire Strong at Texas IMO. Hes a heck of a coach but from what I've seen, hes very awkward in the public eye. Texas is like UK Bball, you have to be a public figure half the time and coach the other half. I dont think Strong can do that. Thats why Franklin would be an amazing hire.

Apparently Mora has now announced that he and his family like his situation in Los Angeles and should no longer be considered in the running for the UT job.

He has gotten much better with the public stuff since he came here, but I agree. It's definitely not one of his Strong points (pun intended), but I think that's because he doesn't care for that part of coaching at all.

The longer it draws out, the less likely I think it will be Strong. If he was their number one candidate, and he wanted the job, why would they wait to announce it?

One way or another Franklin's got a nice payday coming. If Texas doesn't grab him, Penn State will.

I think Jimbo is happy got a big raise and may win a Nat title with his QB coming back. It's probably gonna fall into the lap of Franklin or Strong. I'd go with Strong every day of the month over Frank.
