January 2, 201412 yr ^ I think you're right; although, if I had to pick one school that would have both the cash and the willingness to actually make money an issue, it would be Texas. In the end, it's going to come down to whether or not he'd like to be the coach at a school with massive advantages as well as several big challenges (not the least of which is the public nature of being the Longhorns' football coach and Strong's never really enjoyed that part of the job).

How many threads have we had with people talking about Cal leaving for the pros? One? Two? EVERY time Strong's name has come up as a possibility for another job, he's been as good as gone to everybody who wasn't a Louisville fan. Your comparison isn't even close.

For some, it's really hard to grasp that Louisville can compete with the "bigger" jobs when it comes to money. Not always "win" with the money, but at least make the bigger guys really pay out if they want to steal a coach away.
