December 9, 201312 yr No tailgating, and if you're not one of the lucky ones to have a parking pass you'll have to pay to get there. You can't walk, or be dropped off. http://m.espn.go.com/general/story?storyId=10109826&city=newyork&src=desktop
December 10, 201312 yr I know what my friends who live in New York would say... "It's New York; who the hell drives a car?"
December 10, 201312 yr 51 for a bus' date=' wow. I pay 5 for the rams express[/quote'] Everything is more expensive at the Super Bowl. Last time I was there it cost $5 to ride the bus from Metlife stadium to NYC.
December 10, 201312 yr Everything is more expensive at the Super Bowl. Last time I was there it cost $5 to ride the bus from Metlife stadium to NYC. I expect it to be more expensive but $51 is crazy
December 10, 201312 yr I know what my friends who live in New York would say... "It's New York; who the hell drives a car?" Truth. If there were ever a Super Bowl I wanted to attend, this is it. Outdoors, great market, the weather like yesterday....and I don't even like the cold. A friend of mine is producing the event. Maybe I'll see if he needs any help. I'll have to wait a couple of weeks, though. He's in China right now
December 10, 201312 yr No tailgating, and if you're not one of the lucky ones to have a parking pass you'll have to pay to get there. You can't walk, or be dropped off. No tailgating at Super Bowl - ESPN Only 13K spots available to the public. I'm scared to venture a guess as to how much parking will be for one of those selected in the parking lottery. They say all of the parking spots are claimed because of "setting up security perimeters" around the stadium. My guess is it has more to do with making sure there's plenty of space for corporate schmoozing.
December 10, 201312 yr All part of the NFL money grab. Zero concern for the fans and really for the teams, players, or the product on the field. Money always comes first for the NFL and as much as I love the game I hope the choice bites them hard. Maybe a blizzard with sub zero temps. Lets see how dedicated the fat cat fans that typically get tx for this event are in horrid conditions. Maybe 10,000 fans in the stands would be a wake up call.
December 10, 201312 yr It's pretty sad when you can't even walk to an NFL game. Im guessing there wont be many of the walking type in attendance.
December 10, 201312 yr You all do realize the Super Bowl is for corporate snobs and not the casual fan?
December 10, 201312 yr You all do realize the Super Bowl is for corporate snobs and not the casual fan? This^ The casual fan cannot afford to or even have access to get tickets to the Super Bowl. This is a corporate event, and if you can afford to pay thousands for a ticket, getting there won't be a problem. Besides, as much as I love football, it's really more fun to watch at home. Cheap food, beer, comfortable seating, you get to pick the friends you watch it with, and high def tv with replay. And the weather is always perfect, and TV timeouts are much more bearable.
December 10, 201312 yr I really hope it's a giant snowstorm much like the Detroit/Philly game this past Sunday. Serves the NFL right for such an ignorant idea.
