Thanks for posting. I watched the game but didn't see the fumble. The Khsaa shows more replays than action during the S16 but no replays at all during the football finals. This photo is the equivalent of the Charles Hurt vs Holmes goal tend.

 

I think that's because during the Sweet 16 they're taking the feed directly from Rupp, and whoever runs that, replays everything. I vividly remember they missed getting footage of the Ballard buzzer beater against Warren Central in 2010 because they were replaying the game-tying shot George Fant had hit just before it.

 

But on top of that, they're usually completely gutless about replaying anything controversial, and that includes at Rupp. If they think they're going to show up an official at all, they never replay it. And I think that would have applied here.

Just saying that somehow they have 2 high schools, but play as one! I'm not complaining! So, if you know so much Ram, why don't you help us understand what the Scott County students were referring too!

Where is Elkhorn High School? Do they have football? How many high schools are in Scott County? Are we talking about Scott County Kentucky?

I was just going to post the picture. That's a tough tough loss for Meade. Wow.

Elkhorn Crossing is a Career/Technical Satalite campus. Students can study Media Arts, Pre-Engioneering, Law and Justice or Health Sciences and spend half of their day at Elkhorn Crossing. The other half of their is still spent at the main campus of Scott Co High. It is not a school unto itself.

Here is a video that kind of gives you a feel for when the building opened. Since this video, ECS has opened a Law and Justice village and now allows Freshmen to apply for either Health Sciences or Law and Justice. I think that now about 300 kids go to ECS in the morning and another 300 go in the afternoon. It is really a pretty amazing place.

That is not the fumble in question. the fumble in question happened when #40 was running the ball, Nice try though. Congrats to the Cards and Meade Co. was for real they were tough as nails

Where was this officiating crew from? I was told that as much as possible, in assigning the refs, the KHSAA tries to select refs who have not worked games involving the teams.

My apologies, I posted the one I saw circulating. I don't think the rest of your post was necessary though.

Congratulations to Scott County on the big victory and taking the trophy home to Georgetown. That capped off as good a championship weekend as I can remember. Nice job!

 

Also, congratulations to Meade County. I really enjoyed watching the Green Wave play and you guys were in it right up to the end. Great game and good luck next year.

 

I especially want to congratulate Chris Hatfield, an old Belfry teammate of mine who is an assistant coach at Scott County. Enjoy it Chris, I know it is sweet. Chris' dad Howard was an excellent basketball coach and we all learned a lot from his leadership back in grade school. Howard passed away a few years ago, but I know he is smiling today on the Cardinal's big win.

 

I also want to give a shout out to another Belfry alum, Georgetown Mayor Everette "Mutt" Varney. It was good to see him at the finals. I never saw him play but all the old timers say that Mayor Varney was the best basketball player to ever play at Belfry High, and I think he still holds some records at Berea College.
