Tough effort by Meade Co, but Scott Co had the horses to win 6A this year. Congratulations, Cardinals! I personally was at the 1975 game, as I was a junior at Bowling Green High, and I saw all three games that weekend. The Cardinals beat Middlesboro for the 2A title that year.

Meade was the best team, at least defensively, hands down that Henderson faced all year. I was going to be very surprised if it ended up a blow out by Scott. It's a shame that the refs apparently blew such a big call in this one.

So, I was in Georgetown tonight and heard some talk from Scott County students saying that the new Elkhorn High School was Scott County's way to keep their sports teams in tact and get around the need to divide the school district. They went on to say that Scott County Athletics would do anything they could to keep the athletes in the one school. Would anyone from Scott County care to elaborate on how they are beating the system with the Elkhorn High School?

Are you serious? So, you're complaining that they are not sending athletes to other schools so they are cheating?

Thanks for posting. I watched the game but didn't see the fumble. The Khsaa shows more replays than action during the S16 but no replays at all during the football finals. This photo is the equivalent of the Charles Hurt vs Holmes goal tend.
