Final.

Congrats to both teams. Great game.

Congrats to Desales and NCC. Good game! Too many missed opportunities did the Breds in. Great year for the Breds! There is a reason they return year after year. They do it right!

Way to go Colts!

Congratulations and very nicely done, Colts!

Congrats to NCC for making another final and congrats to Desales for winning the title!!!

I was pulling for NCC, but I have to admit it was really neat seeing the excitement on all the players faces and coaches and fans when the game was over and seeing Desales winning their very first ever state title. That was fun to watch. These kids are now and will forever be local heroes to the school and community, congrats and enjoy it!!

Congrats to the Colts, they played one hell of a game. Breds made a nice comeback, but the 2 missed redzone opportunities and the penalty on Jake Smith's KO return for a TD were killer.

That being said, hats off to this very special class of NewCath seniors. 45-13 record and 2 State Titles and a Runner-Up finish. :ylsuper: There are PLENTY of teams that envy what you have accomplished.

Congrats to the Colts, and a great try by NCC. Great game!

Not getting off the field on 3rd down was the key. DeSales QB was a very, very good leader. Smart scrambles, good vision when the draw was called. He was hitting his targets, moving the chains and really did what a state champ does. Byrd was as good as advertised. Donelly 9 catches for 202 yards, he's going to have a good career at the next level, if he chooses to go that way. I really like DeSales, seemed like a really clean team. Congrats to both teams, and coach Wagner for a very successful first year. Another offseason for Smith and Tallon to come back big.

Tommy Donnelly with hell of a game for the Breds.....over 200 yards receiving.

Also, if my count is correct I think Jack Sutkamp either tied the tackles record or beat it by one, will have to wait and see. Either way this young man was one special player.

Congratulations to DeSales on getting the title. Great season and we may have seen the birth of a new power in football with this win.

New Cath - awesome job this year. Coach Wagner has to be very proud of this team. As I said in the game thread, Coach Wagner made an impressive debut as coach and got everything you could out of this team. The Breds almost pulled off a big upset in the title game. Well done.

The QB for DeSales - Nathan Roush - is the first cousin of Jeff, Greg and Brian Brohm on their mother's side. He is a smart, skilled and poised leader.

Lawrence and Kues are also just sophomores, Breds will be back again next year.

Congrats to Desales on there 1st ever state title. Congrats to NCC for giving it your all and never giving up. Could have easily folded in the 4th, but, didn't and gave themselves a chance. A few missed opportunities by the Breds, but, they also caught a few breaks that could have gone the other way, so, it balanced out. Desales was the better team and earned everything they got.
