All I know is the XP gives you a chance to win at home in OT. The failed conversion gives you a loss in regulation. No brainer for me.

 

You left out the one other option that had by going for it, and that option is why the chose it. Which is if you get it, you win the game. You have 600 yards offense, and you are 3 yards away from winning it. So yes an XP gives you only a CHANCE to in at home in OT. A miss means you lose, and getting the 2 point conversation means you win. Its only a bad choice because it didn't work. Now the play call itself was bad IMO.

FSU is the best team in the nation? They are good however if they see Bama in the title game, I think Bama wins by 3 TD's or more.

Having 600 yards of offense is even more of a reason to take it to OT.

Florida State and Alabama are both at least 2 TDs better than OSU. Probably Auburn too.

Bingo! I love going for two. I would have run the speed option- they used it with great success earlier in the game on multiple occassions. JMO.

OSU can score 40 on anyone, question is how many will they give up?

 

I don't think State will give up 40 to Ohio next week. We'll see.

Bama is also playing the #4 ranked team in the nation, the 9-1 Auburn Tigers, on the road. Ohio State wouldn't beat Auburn at Auburn, and they couldn't beat Alabama anywhere.
