Yep, I'll talk it. The rankings have very little to do with where they are now. The rankings are a statement about who has the most impressive record to that point in the season. They are based on your record and who you play at that point in the season. It isn't a prediction about who is going to win state. When everyone hasn't seen all the teams play, you use their schedule and scores to judge them. Scott County played a weak schedule so it was hard to know what would happen when they played better teams. Simon Kenton was also questioned for the same reasons despite being undefeated. Where are they? Scott County playing in the title game proves they have a great team in spite of the weak schedule. It doesn't say to me that the rankings were wrong or that people questioning their ranking were wrong. If Scott County had played Male during the regular season and beaten them, no one would have been questioning them being ranked number one.
