Not sure what you think coach might get from last years film. Last year he would see QB draw, QB counter, bootleg run. Dale said in the paper last week that the two touchdown runs for Houliston in that game were the first two running plays called all year for the QB.

Has the defensive scheme changed? What about how they cover KO, punts or how they return? Did they change their pass protection? Did they completely change their run and pass game?

 

I can almost bet you HHS hasn't changed their blocking scheme. One might also be surprised how helpful other teams are to share information. I know back in the day a certain Louisville school would lend a helping hand to us against other Louisville school. That same school also surprisingly ran a very similar defense we used to bottle up a very good rb.

It was more a reference to the HHS system. Everyone appears to know about "sticks" lol along with counter trap. I think people discount film. Unless a team does a whole sale system change it helps.

If Collins fairs better against the pass than the run this could result in a much lower scoring game as HHS may go to the run game with Harris & Co. Zach needs about 100 yards to hit 1000 again?

I don't question Dale and what he does seems to work. Actually, I try to avoid Dale during football season. It is very scary to be in the presence of Dale during football season.:scared: He thinks he is all nice and friendly , but I would rather be getting a root canal when I'm around Dale during the season.:meh:

I'm with Sweep...Dale is the only one that knows what Dale is going to do next! Some coaches change strategies year to year. Dale changes things game to game. I'm not talking little things. You see things every week that makes you say "where'd that come from??" I couldn't imagine trying to prepare for HHS.

Had a buddy that coached up until several years ago and for game film an opponent sent their game vs HHS. He said their staff about fell off their seats a couple times and ended up spending more time talking about HHS than their opponent that first night they watched. He said the same thing, that he would hate to prepare for the Birds. He also said it was useless in preparing for his opponent which was probably the point of sending that particular game.
