I can't answer all of your questions but I can tell you the last two years Ryle's offense has been absolutely pathetic.

 

Pathetic offenses are a result of bad play calling, bad coaching or bad players. Which do you think it was in Union? Probably a combination of all three but Ryles problem was the same as Boone's...no quarterback.

Sad to hear this. I'm a big Bryson Warner fan and not a fan of parents who think they're Jesus. Personally, I thought Ryle was a year away from returning toward the front of the NKY 6A district, but that will happen regardless of who coaches them. I'm not an X's & O's guy, and I couldn't tell you what a cover three is, but I appreciate good people who coach kids. I don't care what anyone says about the last two years, the talent was awful. The offensive system may have been awful as well, but those kids weren't going to win in any system. Be that as it may, I wish BW nothing but best wishes in whatever he does going forward.

Bryson Warner did more for Ryle Football than any previous coach. He made some poor decisions in 11 years but was responsible for some very successful seasons and coached some great players. It's unfortunate that Ryle parents and administration had such a strong desire to replace him. These are big shoes to fill and whoever gets hired must know that the pressure will be on early.

With Warner out at Ryle there is not a Head Coach in NKY who has ever beat Highlands. The last 2 coaches to beat Highlands and compete with or beat Trinity have been run out of town. I am sure they forgot how to coach.

Lesson to coaches be like some coaches and job hop, beat no one and people won't get tired of you.

My guess is the Woolf (sp?) being referred to is Mike Woolf, CovCath grad and longtime Ryle assistant. I could be wrong, but I think he's been the defensive coordinator for quite a while, and generally considered to be Warner's top assistant. He works in the building.

 

My take on Woolf is two-fold. On the one hand, he has been very loyal to the program and school in remaining as an assistant when he certainly could have landed a head coaching job someplace in NKY by now. Flip side, by remaining at Ryle he is now part of all the reasons why the school felt a change needed to be made. My guess that makes it tough for him to sell himself to those hiring that he is the answer they are looking for.

 

I liken his situation to Niederman last year at Boone County. Both are good coaches with a passion for their school, but I see Woolf suffering the same fate Kyle did last year. Just my two cents.

He applied for one other job, and decided to stay put to be loyal to the program, players, and coaches he was with. It would be foolish for Woolf to not be the front runner for the job. When you have a guy with his class, his pedigree, his coaching talent, and he already teaches in your building?

Kevin Siple?......Would he take the job? With his experience at Indian Hill, Kevin could handle the politics that would come with this job. IMO!

Problem will be teaching position for him. Way to many tenured teachers at Ryle so they cant just kick one to the curb to hire a coach.

yet they didnt do that for any of Warner's assistant? Why would they do it for a new coach. Boone Co schools dont work that way.

It worked that way for Boone County when they hired Coach Griff, his OC, and his wife (although I think she found her job on her own).

I think Siple remembers rich mafias well from Indian Hill.

Could someone elaborate more on the parent interference that appears to the big issue here. Are we talking about parents as coaches or parents in the stands?
