I'd probably drop Knott County Central down around Perry County Central.

Name them.

Holmes, Trinity, Henry Clay, Cordia, John Hardin, Lexington Catholic, Johnson Central, Male, Scott County and Warren Central.

I agree with some and disagree with some. Difficult to make a preseason high school poll though.

Difficult to make a mid season poll as well! Not many get to see enough teams around the state to make an honest assessment of who is good and who is better than who! Only thing for sure is that there is eventually one state champ. They earn the # 1 ranking at the end of the year. I'm guessing there are a lot of teams that never make it to the state tourney that should end up in the top 10 at years end.

In the meantime boys, keep those polls and opinions coming! I love talking hoops!

I'm going to see SK soon so I can determine for myself if I agree or if you homerism knows no bounds.

Trinity is ranked higher than NCC.

Holmes is good enough to defeat them. Absolutely. For now, the belief is that NCC is the better overall team.

Henry Clay is too much of an unknown. They may drop in the polls before they rise.

Cordia isn't the best team in the 14th and chemistry wise NCC is way way ahead of Cordia.

I think Lexington Catholic, John Hardin, Johnson Central would all lose to NCC. Definitely aren't ready to be ranked ahead of them.

Scott County lost to Holmes.

Male should rise in the polls IMO.

Warren Central is always dangerous.

What game?

I'd put PCC above Lafayette at this point. I think Lafayette has lost too much from last year to be top 10 right now, but I could easily them there at the end.

Didn't know NCC was going to be that good this year.

Tons of preseason hype this season.

What game?

Jan 17 at South Oldham

Didn't know NCC was going to be that good this year.

They are outstanding and barring any key injuries, are a threat to play deep into the Sweet 16.

They will be tough. Starting 5 is as good as you'll see across the state. Nice mix of size and good guard play. Biggest question is their depth. I personally don't think they are top 5 right now but by the end of December I think they will be.

Teams with athleticism will give them problems, IMO. Still, what they lack in overall athleticism they will be able to make up with how smart they play and the chemistry they have together.
