Running clock win for NCC

I think NCC is the favorite but they will need to be solid again this week to advance. Against Walton Verona they dominated both lines of scrimmage and they will need to do that again. Gallatin will certainly throw it better than WV but the key will be throwing when they want to and not when they need to. First down is a key point for them both on offense and defense. NCC had bad kick return game last week which is very unlike an NCC team and had a lot of major penalties which seems to happen to them a lot. If they can clean that up it would make them awfully tough to beat.

I don't think you can overlook GC NCC struggles against the pass and GC passes much better than WV.

True, but can the Gallatin Co. O-line keep the NewCath defense out of the backfield? :idunno:

Walton-Verona found out the hard way, it's not that easy.

Gallatin doesn't throw well enough to keep this game close. No running clock but Newcath by 30

Not 100% sure yet but I believe this will be broadcast live Friday night on nkysports.com under our webcasts link.

Is this game at Newport or Gallatin County? The KHSAA site shows Gallatin but I thought Newcath was supposed to host?

Why do people keep saying NCC struggles against the pass? Their pass defense has been pretty good all year. No one they play will throw the ball better than SK or Beechwood. The defense has improved all year. Cooper game they did play bad. Everyone thought Beechwood would throw all over them & they didn't. Plus their D line has been getting a great pass rush which is the key to stopping any teams passing game. Gallatin likes to throw it so we shall see the results.

Yes, the game will be played at Warsaw. It is an odd year (2013) so the odd numbered district (5) will host when both #1 seeds play.

Based on history and looking at it on paper, this looks like it will be a blowout. But, that's why they play the games. GC has proven people wrong all year. This one will be closer than expected, especially if GC can force turnovers like they have all year.

At Gallatin.

I agree. I see about a 30 point win for NCC.

What happened to #23 for NCC that was probably their best DB and a good WR. Did not see him on the field for WV game. Injured?
