Not necessarily true. They have just laid grass seed and hay toward the new fieldhouse end of the stands over the past week. The far endzone is open though. The stands have been expanded from what they had last year. The new press box is very nice. Been there the past 2 weeks.

The burgers at the concession stand are very good. Actually, I think better than the coveted Beechwood Burger. Come on down and join us.

Thanks for clearing that up. Just going by what a buddy recently told me about the field at Gallatin Co HS. I hadn't been there in a while.

It is still behind or rather beside the high school, right?

Gallatin County has had an outstanding year. Their staff has done a really nice job of molding theses kids from freshman until now, and my hat is off to them. However, Newcath is Newcath and most likely on a different level. I wish both teams the best of luck and hope that neither team has any injuries.

Yes, behind the school. Should be plenty of parking all around for everyone.

I saw this thread getting very lopsided against the Wildcats, so I thought I would chime in now. Gallatin County has been underrated all year. It is definitely not a bad thing as it has helped lead us to 10-2 on the year. Now, critics will say "GC's district is weak", and that is fine. But if you take a look at round 1, only 1 "NKY" team made it (NCC). With that being said, District 5 must have been much better than District 6. Go ahead and count the Wildcats out, but at halftime, don't be surprised if you see me with a shirt on that says "Told Ya So!" Gallatin County 28 NCC 22!

Why do others always have to hate on NewCath?? So they rent a field and only have one goal post on their practice field, so what. Apparently you don't have to have your own field to be a good football team and win championships. Maybe some of the mightier than thou schools out there should get back to basics. You can have an awesome field, but still be a crappy team. Stadiums don't make a team, hard work, dedication and tradition does!!! Haters always gonna hate!!!!

You kind of missed the point. Which is that no matter how spartan or advanced the Gallatin Co facilities are NCC and NCC fans would be fine with it since they are not used to any type of luxury.

Your district had a nice year. WV beat an injury laden Lloyd squad that blew out your #1 seed earlier in the year. GC barely beat a one win HC team. Carroll County had a nice win over Newport. No one thought that these were major upsets. I think its time to get off of the city folk picking on the country folk. GC has had a great year, but they are now playing one of the elite teams in 2A. We will see how good they really are now.

We have new grandstands and pressbox. We even have real stadium lights like the big schools do. So everyone come on down Friday and be entertained. According to all the experts on here, it should be a blowout, so everybody up in NKY should be happy and relieved NCC is playing GC. Easy road to Bowling Green.

Could you post Gallatin Co's schedule with scores for this year?

NCC by 35+. Not a chance GC sticks with NCC unless NCC has 10 TO's. Just look at their common opponents.

Well seeing as this will be our last game, maybe. The Lloyd game we didn`t have our best 2 linemen playing, excuse, yes. We did beat Walton and we did shut down HC run game which no one on here thought could happen. NCC is one of the elite HS teams in the state, no doubt about it. Here is another excuse just for GC sake. We don`t have the player pool that a lot of the elite teams do, so we try to make the best with what we have. 10-2 in a weak district, I`ll take it and be proud of what ours kids have accomplished this year. If we get beat by 50, I know these kids at the end of the game have played their hearts out, and never gave up. And the scores and schedule can be seen on KHSAA website, it`s no secret. See ya`ll Friday.

Keep it rolling! Support your team. They have a nice record and nice season that the program and their fans should be proud of. This is going to be a fun week for your team and fans with the anticipation and preparation and team dinners and everything else that goes with being this deep in the playoffs. Keep believing and hope they can find a way to pull off the upset. Upsets do happen.

If you say Lloyd was injury laden then you have to say the same about WV which it was as well.

Give us your view of the game sarge. You probably have a better first hand view of these two teams than anyone else on here.

First of all congrats to Gallatin on their season. Coaching Browning is a class act and runs a good program. Gallatin has some weapons Chapman, McCoy and their line is good. I just don't see them being able to knock off NCC. Impossible no but not likely.

Your player pool is the same as any other 2A size school.

False!!! He is not referring to numbers and you know it. If you really believe that the difference in Gallatin and NCC's program is coaching, you are severely wrong. The difference is talent, and access to talent, end of story.
